There wasn't much in the way offence to report from Memorial Gardens Friday night, as the Nipissing Lakers women's hockey team hosted the division leading Queens Gaels.

The teams went almost 65 minutes tied 0-0 before the game was decided in overtime, with the Lakers picking up the shutout victory.

The difference between two evenly matched teams came when Maria Dominico buried her 10 th goal of the season in the extra period to give Nipissing the victory.

The loss is only the second of the season for Queens, although both have come in overtime.

Jackie Rochefort was perfect in net, finishing with 23 saves for the shutout victory.

Nipissing looks to make it two in a row Saturday when they host UOIT Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm at Memorial Gardens.
