Chad Thibodeau and
Deverick Ottereyes earned assists on the game's first tally.
After a scoreless second, Laurentian tallied twice in the third period to go ahead 2-1 and held on for the victory despite being outshot through 60 minutes.
Brent Moran finished with 30 saves, while Mackenzie Savard picked up the win for the Vees, stopping 32 of 33 shots.
Nipissing hosts Ottawa and Carleton next weekend, hitting the ice Friday and Saturday night.
