LACROSSE: LAKERS DROP A TOUGH DECISION IN GUELPH

In their second last game of the regular season, the Nipissing Lakers lacrosse team had a tough outing.

The Lakers fell 19-4 to the Guelph Gryphons on the road Friday night.

The Lakers found themselves in the hole early, as the Gryphons jumped out to a 6-1 lead after one quarter of play and added to it, as the Lakers trailed 11-3 at halftime.

Guelph blew things open in the third quarter, scoring seven times before the teams each scored a goal apiece in the fourth quarter.

Jack Quinn, Carter Tait, Zach Tarr and Jesse Ashkewe scored for Nipissing.

The Lakers will finish their season off Saturday afternoon as they travel to Sudbury to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs.

Following that game, the Lakers will wait for potential CUFLA playoff matchups and the post-season schedule.
