The Nipissing Lakers lacrosse team didn't mess around in their lone game of the weekend.
On the road, the Lakers took care of business, defeating the Toronto Varsity Blues 13-2 Saturday night.
After an even first quarter, the Lakers began to pull away in the second, as they built up a 4-2 lead heading into halftime.
The real offensive outburst came in the second half, as Nipissing posted nine goals, including four in the third, increasing their lead to 8-2 after three.
They capped things off in style with five more goals in the final frame, cruising to their fourth victory of the season.
Carter Tait led the Lakers offence with three goals and four assists,
Jesse Ashkewe had three goals,
Zach Tarr and two goals and an assist and
Jack Quinn had two goals.
Callum Jeffrey, Matthew Lalonde and
Myles Shorey all added singles in the win.
Nipissing is back in action Friday night when they head to Guelph to take on the Gryphons in the second last game of the regular season.
