It was a tough swing south for the Nipissing Lakers men's basketball team as they dropped a pair of close games on the weekend.
The Lakers fell by a final of 88-70 to the Western Mustangs in London on Friday, before coming up short, 87-73, to the Windsor Lancers Saturday evening.
Darnaz Mabanza led the Lakers offence with 26 points, while
Alex Blackmore added 19 in the contest against Western.
The next night, Mabanza led the offence for the Lakers with 18 points,
Alvin Icyogere had 15 and
Ricardo Neves added 12 in the contest.
Nipissing is back at home to take on Waterloo next Friday night in North Bay.
