It wasn't the road trip the Nipissing Lakers women's basketball team had in mind when they headed south this past weekend.
The Lakers came up short twice, losing to the Western Mustangs Friday night by a final of 68-48 in London.
Taryn Gauthier led the Lakers with 10 points in the contest.
The next night, they fell 71-56 to the Windsor Lancers as they wrapped up their road trip.
Gauthier had 14 points for the Lakers,
Dominique Bouchard added 12 and
Megan McCarter scored 10 in the contest.
Nipissing is back at home to take on Waterloo next Friday night in North Bay.
