The Nipissing Lakers women's soccer team left it all on the pitch Saturday afternoon in Ottawa, but came up short of a title.
The Lakers fell 4-2 to the Ottawa Gee Gees in the OUA Championship game, earning a silver medal in the process.
Nipissing held a 1-0 lead thanks to a Cassidy Brooks goal, but then found themselves down 2-1 before Brooks scored her second of the contest to tie things up.
Ottawa would convert on their chances, going up 3-2 and adding a late goal to claim the 4-2 win and the 2024 title.
