MEN'S BASKETBALL: LAKERS LOSE TWICE IN OTTAWA

The Nipissing Lakers men's basketball team had a tough weekend in Ottawa, as they came up short in a pair of games.

Friday, the Lakers dropped their contest with the Ottawa Gee Gees by a final of 98-62.

Darnaz Mabanza led the Lakers with 14 points, while Jean Rene Brutus Escalona added 12 in the contest.

To close out the weekend in the nation's capital, Nipissing fell to the Carleton Ravens 90-45.

Mabanza had 12 points and Alvin Icyogere added 10 in the contest.

Nipissing remains on the road and takes on Algoma next weekend in Sault Ste. Marie.
