The Nipissing Lakers women's volleyball team lost a heartbreaker on the weekend in the OUA Playoffs.
Facing the second seed, Brock Badgers, the Lakers left it all on the court, fought for five outstanding sets, but came up short, falling 3-2 (25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-17) in the OUA quarterfinals Friday night.
Oceane Raymond-Leduc led the Lakers with 23 kills, while
Paige Owen had 19 in the match.
The Lakers checked off a number of program records this season, with their most wins, longest winning streak and tied for the highest finish in their time in the OUA.
