In the third, the Lakers came out firing early, eager to claw their way back into the game.

At 7:49, it was Carlie Primomo who scored the Lakers second goal and gave Nipissing some life. The goal was unassisted, and cut the Windsor lead to just one.

The Lakers looked to tie the game, but it was Windsor who answered at 13:26 to regain a two-goal lead, 4-2.

Windsor would add another tally, this time an empty-net goal, to take the contest 5-2.

Then, on Saturday, October 17, the Western Mustangs were the opponent as Nipissing looked to split their weekend homestand.
