Coming off a very strong effort Friday against a strong Ryerson Rams teams, the Nipissing Lakers women's volleyball team bounced back Sunday on the road.
The Lakers team picked up a 3-1 win over the Trent Excalibur on the road to earn a weekend split.
Nipissing took the first two sets – 25-11 and 25-19 – before Trent stayed alive in the third set, winning 25-22.
The Lakers claimed the fourth set 25-20 to put the match away.
With the win, the Lakers moved to 2-2 on the young season.
Averi Bodnar led the way with 10 kills and 17.5 points and
Megan Winter added eight kills in the victory.
Nipissing hosts the McMaster Marauders Saturday and the Brock Badgers Sunday.
Both matches are set for noon at the Surtees Athletic Centre.
