Box Score The Nipissing Lakers men's hockey team stumbled Friday night, as they continued their homestand.
The Lakers came up short, falling 4-1 to the visiting Ottawa Gee Gees, dropping their first home game in regulation all season, in six games.
Things started well for the Lakers, as
Cole Stewart buried his first of the year.
His goal – assists by
Reilly Mayne and
Devyn Mayea – came 5:25 into the game and had Nipissing leading by a goal through 20 minutes.
Unfortunately, the rest of the offence came from the Gee Gees.
Ottawa scored twice in the second and twice in the third to escape North Bay with a win and two points.

Zach Roy finished with 36 saves in the contest, while Nipissing had 28 shots of their own.
Nipissing wraps up the weekend Saturday night as they host the Carleton Ravens.
Game time is 7:30pm at Memorial Gardens.
