The Nipissing Lakers men's basketball team is playing well and the results are showing that, as they have now won three of four and four of six.
The Lakers earned a weekend split on the road, falling 83-76 to the McMaster Marauders Friday night in Hamilton, before responding with a gritty 84-76 victory over the York Lions the next night in Toronto.
On the first night,
Alvin Icyogere led the way 24 points and 13 rebounds,
Darnaz Mabanza added 22 and
Alex Blackmore had 16 in the contest for the Lakers in the loss.
The next game, Icyogere had a huge game, scoring 36 points and adding 11 rebounds, while Mabanza had 21 points in the victory.
Nipissing faces Windsor and Western next weekend once again on the road.
