The Nipissing Lakers women's hockey team made it seven wins in a row this past weekend, sweeping their two-game road trip.
The Lakers topped the Guelph Gryphons 3-1 Friday night, before wrapping up the weekend with a 5-2 win over the Brock Badgers Saturday evening.
In the first game of the weekend,
Lana Duriez scored twice and
Emma Thomas added a single for the Lakers, while
Chantelle Sandquist finished with 26 saves in the 3-1 win.
To close out the weekend, Nipissing picked up a 5-2 win over the Badgers.
Malory Dominico had two goals,
Abby Lunney,
Maggie McKee and Thomas scored, while Sandquist made 32 saves in her second win in as many days.
The Lakers return home for a single game next weekend as they host the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday night.
