The Nipissing Lakers men's hockey team is heating up as they look to finish the first half of the season strong.
The Lakers grabbed their third straight win and fourth game with a point, as they defeated the York Lions in a shootout, 4-3, Friday night.
Charles Farmer scored twice and
Harrison Caines added a single for the Lakers as they erased a 1-0 and 3-2 deficit to force the game to overtime and a shootout, before claiming the extra point.
Kyle Foreman scored the lone shootout goal and
Reece Proulx made 26 saves, plus three more in the shootout for the victory.
Nipissing is back in action Sunday when they travel to Concordia to face the Stingers.
