The Nipissing Lakers men's soccer team is officially hot.
The Lakers completed a perfect weekend, sweeping the Trent Excalibur Saturday and slipping past the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks, 2-1, Sunday afternoon.
The win gives them three straight victories and points in four straight games.
The Ridgebacks struck first, scoring early in the first half on a perfectly placed shot.
That lead didn't last long as
Olutosin Ajakaiye tied the game about 10 minutes after the game's opening goal.
After the teams went to the halftime break, even, it was once again Ajakaiye.
He found the back of the net again, burying the game-winner as the Lakers head on down the stretch to claim the win and three points.
Dante Emmanuel was strong in net finishing with six saves, including a number in the final few minutes of the game.
The Lakers host Queen's and RMC next weekend at the Nipissing Turf Field.
