The Nipissing Lakers men's hockey team had a tough trip south, as they dropped a pair of games in Toronto on the weekend.
Friday, the Lakers were shutout 5-0 and Saturday, the final was 6-0, as the Toronto Varsity Blues swept the visiting Lakers.
Zach Roy made 30 saves in the first contest of the weekend as the Blues scored two in the second and three in the third to claim the win.
Saturday, Toronto scored four times in the second and twice more in the third for their second straight win over Nipissing.
Reece Proulx made 38 saves in the second contest of the weekend.
Nipissing is back in action this weekend they hit the ice at home, hosting the Waterloo Warriors for a pair of games.
Friday, the teams hit the ice at 7pm, followed by an afternoon game Saturday, as puck drop is set for 4pm.
Both games are at Memorial Gardens.
