North Bay, Ontario – Ontario University Athletics released the 2026-27 men's and women's hockey regular season schedules on Tuesday afternoon.  

Nipissing's women's team will open their 26-game regular at Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, October 7 at 6PM against the Carleton Ravens.  

The men will open their 28-game schedule on the road on Friday, October 9 at 7PM against the Concordia Stingers. The Lakers first home game of the year will take place on Saturday, October 17 at 4PM against the UQTR Patriots. 

Women's hockey will honour their senior graduating players on Saturday, February 6 at 4PM prior to hosting the Waterloo Warriors. 

Men's hockey's senior graduating player ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, February 13 at 4Pm before the Lakers take on McGill in their home regular season finale game.

Both men's and women's hockey had strong seasons in 2025-26 and Nipissing University Athletics is excited to watch our Lakers take the ice again this fall.
