After a scoreless first period, Nipissing found the back of the net twice in the middle frame starting with
Molly Sipprell's first of the year on the power play.
Lexi Debol and
Zosia Davis earned the helpers on the goal that stood up as the game winner.
The Lakers received their insurance goal from North Bay native
Janica Vossos who scored her first of the year just less two minutes later.
Natalie Graham had the assist on Vossos' first of the year.
Once Sipprell's goal found the back of the net, it was time for Rochefort to take over once again. After stopping all 17 shots through 40 minutes, she capped off the successful weekend with a clean 10 stops in the third period to secure the win.
In total, Rochefort stopped all 51 shots she faced this weekend.
