As the match continued, Trent fought back, managing to continually cut into the Nipissing lead. But the Lakers took off moving into the technical timeout of the set, leading 16-7.
Their lead would not fade as they closed out the set again at 25-13.
Going into the third set, Trent took off looking to get back into the match. They began leading 5-2. The game tied up at 5-5 before Nipissing took the lead yet again.
