Box Score 1 The Nipissing Lakers women's hockey team was involved in two very different games to close out the first semester on the road.
The Lakers battled the Windsor Lancers and Waterloo Warriors, finishing with a big victory over Windsor and a tough loss against Waterloo.
Saturday afternoon, the Lakers dominated Windsor from start to finish, topping the Lancers 9-3.
Nipissing led 2-0 after one, 5-2 after two and closed things out in the third period with four goals.
Seven Lakers had at least two points, led by
Maria Dominico's three point night and Nipissing had eight different goal-scorers in the win.

Ava Keis,
Brooklyn Irwin all had a goal and an assist, while Dominico had two goals and an assist in the win.
All but five Lakers had points, even
Danika Ranger earned an assist in the win, on top of making 28 saves.
Sunday, in a completely different game, the Lakers fell short in a tight contest.
Waterloo led 1-0 after the first period thanks to a power play goal.
Nipissing tied the game in the second, as
Stacey Henshaw fired home her second of the season, set up by
Bronwyn Bolduc and Irwin.
Waterloo scored the lone goal of the third period to claim the win.
Jackie Rochefort finished with 21 saves.
The Lakers will return to action in January, resuming the 2017-18 season.
