MEN'S BASKETBALL: LAKERS EARN A WEEKEND SPLIT ON THE ROAD

Box Score 1 The Nipissing Lakers men's basketall team got back into the win column on the weekend, finishing with a split.

On Friday night, the Lakers snapped their four game losing streak with a 75-71 victory over the York Lions.

Marcus Lewis had a double-double, 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the offense, while Quinton Ashitei added 14 points, along with Kalil Langston and Jaaden Lewis each chipping in with 12 in the victory. 

The next night, despite holding a lead entering the fourth quarter, the Lakers came up short, losing 80-68 to Queens in Kingston.

Marcus Lewis had 26 points, Jaaden Lewis had 14 and Kalil Langston added 11 in Saturday's game versus Queens. 

Nipissing is back in action Wednesday when they host Laurentian at the RJS Athletic Centre.
