Box Score One of the best seasons in the history of the Nipissing Lakers women's soccer program came to an end Sunday afternoon.

After finishing fourth in the division, winning their Round 1 OUA Playoff matchup, the Lakers came up short, losing 5-1 to the Queens Gaels Sunday in the quarter-finals.

The Gaels built up a 2-0 lead before Tori Bellar replied for the Lakers to cut the deficit in half before halftime.

Queens added three goals in the second half to walk away with the win, advance to the semi-finals and eliminate the Lakers.

Nipissing had an outstanding season and despite it ending earlier than they would have liked, there is no reason to hang their heads about what they accomplished.
