The Lakers dropped their third straight home game of the season, losing 2-1 to the Laurentian Voyageurs Friday night in front of a huge crowd at Memorial Gardens.

Jetta Derenoski picked up the lone assist on the Nipissing goal.

Laurentian would score the lone goal of the third to take home the victory and send Nipissing to their third loss in North Bay.

The Lakers outshot Laurentian 28-17 in their first of two meetings of the season.

Nipissing hits the road for a pair of games next weekend, facing York and Guelph.
