MEN'S SOCCER: LAKERS BLANK RMC IN FINAL HOME GAME

The Nipissing Lakers men's soccer team capped off the home portion of their schedule with a key win, helping their playoff cause Saturday afternoon.

The Lakers earned a 1-0 victory over the RMC Paladins and currently sit in fifth place with one more day left in the regular season.

The game's lone goal came from the foot of Jamal Brown as he scored at the 24-minute mark after a loose ball came right to him at the edge of the crease.

Veteran made no mistake and found the back of the net.

From there, the Lakers pressured to add to their total, but were unable to score again and they played a strong defensive game, shutting down any RMC pressure.

Nico Cirullo, making his first start over a full season, made his one and only save to earn the shutout win.

Nipissing outshot RMC 8-1 through 90 minutes.

Nipissing hit the road right after the game and made their way to Toronto to take on the Ryerson Rams Sunday afternoon to close out the season.
