The Nipissing Lakers came up short in their quest for the Baggataway Cup, as they were eliminated Friday night after a 12-5 loss to the Western Mustangs.
After a Round 1 win over Bishop's last weekend, the Lakers fell to the defending champions in McGill - this year's host - in the quarter-finals.
Bo Peltier had three goals, while
Tanner Poole and Riley Sload each added singles for Nipissing.
The Lakers trailed 1-0 after one and 6-2 at halftime.
The Mustangs extended their lead to 10-4 after three quarters.
And Western cruised the win, adding two more goals in the fourth, while Nipissing managed just one tally in the final frame.
