Coming off a victory, the Nipissing Lakers women's volleyball team was hoping to put a streak together, but fell short on the road.
The Lakers dropped a pair of matches, losing 3-0 to the McMaster Maruaders and 3-0 to the Brock Badgers this weekend.
Saturday's matchup against an always strong Marauders team saw the Lakers all 25-15, 25-18 and 25-18.
Shayla Kessler led the Lakers attack with eight kills and nine points,
Cassie Dobson added eight points and
Shannon Lebreux had seven in the match.
Sunday, Nipissing lost 25-17, 25-11 and 25-14 to the Badgers to close out the weekend.
Dobson had six points and Lebreux had 3.5 in the match.
Nipissing will host Windsor and Western this weekend in their final home matches of the regular season.
Matches are set for noon both days at the RJS Athletic Centre.
