There is no doubt about it, the Nipissing Lakers women's basketball team improved this past season.
While the results may not have shown it all the time, it was clear the team is headed in the right direction.
They did suffer a pair of losses to close out the season, however, losing to the Carleton Ravens and Ottawa Gee Gees on the road this past weekend.
In the team's first game of the weekend, Nipissing fell by a final of 72-36 to the Ravens.
Leading the way for Nipissing was
Jamie Soffer with 12 points.
To close out the season, the Lakers lost 95-58 to the Gee-Gees on Saturday night.
While they dropped the contest, they played consistent basketball, scoring 20 in the first quarter and 13 each quarter the rest of the way.
Unfortunately it wasn't enough against the hot shooting Gee Gees.
Angeline Campbell led the Lakers with 22 points.
The Lakers women sit in last spot in the OUA with a 3-20 record.
