Box Score 2 It wasn't the weekend the Nipissing Lakers men's volleyball team was hoping for as they hit the road, but they still sit in a post-season spot as they approach the end of the regular season.
The Lakers lost a pair of matches this weekend on the road, losing 3-1 to the Ryerson Rams and 3-0 to the York Lions.
In the first match of the weekend, the Rams topped the Lakers 3-1 (17-25, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-20).
Tyrus Cuculick had a big match, posting 16 points, while
Patrick Hebert added 11.5 and
Jackson Young had 11 in the contest.
In the second match of the weekend, the Lions edged toped the Lakers in three sets (25-22, 25-15 and 25-20.)
Cuculick had another strong performance, scoring 10.5 points, while
Jeremie Murray added 6.5 against the Lions.
Nipissing will be at home this weekend facing the division-leading Toronto Varsity Blues.
Match time is set for 8pm at the Surtees Athletic Centre.
