The Nipissing Lakers men's volleyball team took another step to securing a playoff spot this past weekend, as they earned a split on the road.
The Lakers defeated the RMC Paladins 3-0 Saturday afternoon before falling 3-0 to the Queens Gaels Sunday in Kingston.
In the first match of the weekend, the Lakers earned their third straight win, beating RMC 25-23, 25-10 and 25-19 to earn the sweep.
Jeremie Murray led the way with 10.5 points, while
Jackson Young and
Liam Ludlow each added 8 in the contest.
Sunday, the Gaels picked up the win, defeating Nipissing 25-19, 25-17 and 25-21 to snap Nipissing's win streak.
Young led the way with 10.5 points and Murray added 8.5 in Sunday's contest.
Nipissing is back in action on the road next weekend, taking on Toronto and York in Toronto.
