The Nipissing Lakers men's hockey team is excited and proud to announce their newest recruit for the 2020-21 season.
They have signed a veteran of the MJAHL, adding Campbellton Tigers captain Pascal Valcourt the program for the upcoming year.
Lakers head coach
Mike McParland is excited about Valcourt joining the program and looks forward to having him in the lineup when the season begins.
"We add another captain from the Maritimes who has offensive potential. Pascal is an above average skater who should bring speed to our team," McParland said. "Where Pascal fits in we will see when we come together. I believe he can play up and down in the line up."
Let's meet the newest member of the team;
Pascal Valcourt

Weight: 161 lbs
Hometown: St. Quentin, New Brunswick
Teams: Campbellton Tigers (MJAHL)

Strengths/Style: I would say I am a 2-way forward that can contribute on both ends of the ice. I am a speedy forward with a good ice vision and some good playmaking skills and compete hard every time I'm on the ice.
Expectations: I believe we can make a strong push this year with the group that we have and I want to contribute and help in any ways that I can.
Junior Career: Playing in Campbellton was a great experience as I got the chance to play near my hometown. I was able to play a lot there and it helped build my confidence. I tried to contribute on and off the ice to help the team to win and I am ready to do the same with Lakers.
Stats: MJAHL – 151 Games, 56 Goals, 88 Assists, 144 Points
