Box Score The Nipissing Lakers men's soccer team came up short as they looked to extend their winning streak to start the season.
The Lakers dropped a tight, 2-1 decision to the Ryerson Rams Friday night at home, dropping their first game of the season, as their record now sits at 3-1.
The teams traded goals in the first half, with the Rams striking first at the 14-minute mark.
Just over 10 minutes later, the Lakers tied the game thanks to a gorgeous strike from newcomer,
Cedric Devos.
Devos found the top right corner as he fired the shot home to even things up.
The teams were even at the halftime break and stayed tied until the 69th minute.
The Rams scored the eventual game-winner with 20 minutes to go.
A lake push wasn't enough for the Lakers, as they fell for the first time this year.
The Rams host the rematch Sunday afternoon in Toronto with kickoff set for 3:30pm.
