Looking to avenge their lone loss of the season to this point, the Nipissing Lakers lacrosse team hosted the Trent Excalibur Saturday afternoon.

In the opening quarter, neither team gave an inch – or allowed or scored a goal – as the teams finished the first deadlocked at zero.
Trent had a strong second quarter as their offence came alive, scoring six times.
Scott Dominey would reply for the Lakers with the team's lone goal of the half.
Trent's outburst gave them a 6-1 halftime lead.
The teams traded a pair of goals in the third quarter with Dominey and
Zach Tarr scoring for Nipissing, who trailed 8-3 after 60 minutes.
In the final frame, Trent added to their lead, making it 10-3 early on.

Jesse Ashkewere scored for Nipissing - as Trent cruised to the 11-4 win.
The loss drops the Lakers to 3-2 on the season with one game remaining.
The Lakers wrap up the regular season in two weeks, as they host the Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday, Oct. 23.
Game time for the season finale is 4pm at the Nipissing Turf Field
