Box Score The Nipissing Lakers women's basketball team was finally able to get back on their home court this weekend, as they hosted the Ryerson Rams.

Unfortunately, the final score wasn't the desired outcome, as they dropped Friday's decision by a final of 70-30.

In the opening quarter, the teams traded baskets early on, but early on, the Rams caught fire and took control of the quarter.

A strong run by the Rams had them finish the opening frame up 27-7.

In a defensive second quarter, each team managed just eight points and the Rams took a 35-15 advantage into the halftime break.

In the third quarter, the Rams broke things open, outscoring Nipissing 13-4 and taking full control of the contest.

Up 48-19 after 30 minutes of play, the Rams capped of their victory in the fourth, scoring another 22 points to hit the 70 mark, while Nipissing answered with 11 of their own, but it wasn't enough.

After the final whistle, the Lakers fell 70-30 to the Rams.

The teams are back at Saturday afternoon at 2pm at the RJ Surtees Athletic Centre.
