Box Score An outstanding season and incredible playoff run came to an end last night for the Nipissing Lakers men's soccer team.

After advancing to the OUA semi-finals, which included a win over the top-ranked Ontario Tech Ridgebacks and a Round 1 win over the Toronto Varsity Blues, the Lakers came up short against the McMaster Marauders Wednesday night.

The Marauders scored three second half goals on their way to a 3-0 win over Nipissing.

After a scoreless opening 45, McMaster broke the deadlock an hour into the game.

They would add their second just over 10 minutes later and capped off the scoring in the 84th minute to seal the victory, advancing to the championship game, as well as qualifying for USports Nationals.

Gabe Pastore had another strong game, finishing with five saves in a losing cause.

With the loss, Nipissing's season comes to an end, but it was filled with highlights and a great run to the league semi-finals.
