Box Score There wasn't much to choose between the Nipissing Lakers women's basketball team and the visiting Laurentian Voyageurs.
A very competitive battle saw the Voyageurs escape with a 64-60 victory, edging the Lakers for the second straight game.
Nipissing began the game with a strong opening quarter, grabbing a 17-16 lead at the end of one.
A slow second quarter offensively by both teams saw only 20 total points, with the Vees outscoring the Lakers 12-8 to take a 28-25 into the halftime break.
Coming out of the break, the teams exploded for a combined 40 points, with the Vees expanding their lead to 50-43 thanks to a 22-18 advantage in the frame.
A late push by Nipissing saw them climb within four at the end, but that would be as close as they'd get, falling by a final of 64-60.
Devisha Binns and
Angeline Campbell each had 15 points and
Finnley McElwain added 13 in tonight's contest to lead the way offensively.
Nipissing will be back in action next weekend when they host the Queen's Gaels for a pair of games at home.
