Box Score The Nipissing Lakers women's soccer team took care of business Saturday afternoon on the road in their lone game of the weekend.
The Lakers blanked the Trent Excalibur 4-0 in Peterborough to improve to 6-1-2 on the season, good for third place in the OUA East Division.
Nipissing wasted little time getting on the board, scoring just seven minutes into the game.
Jessica Emmerton scored her first of three on the game, setup by
Jennifer Milligan to give the Lakers an early lead.
Just over 15 minutes later, Emmerton found the back of the net again, making it 2-0 before the 25-minute mark.
Rylee Traicoff would add a third in the first half, scoring just minutes before the whistle went to close out the opening 45.
Up 3-0, the Lakers cruised in the second half, eventually burying a fourth goal, as Emmerton completed her hat-trick at the 72-minute mark.

Next up, Nipissing hosts the Toronto Varsity Blues Saturday afternoon in their lone game of the weekend.
