Box Score The Nipissing Lakers men's basketball team headed into the first half break on a high note after a pair of impressive wins.
After a strong victory Friday night at home, the Lakers dominated the Laurentian Voyageurs Saturday on the road, coming away with a 100-69 win.
Nipissing was in control from the start, leading 24-19 after the opening quarter and posting a 55-39 lead at the halftime break.
They didn't let up in the second half, either, scoring another 45.
In the third, Nipissing extended their lead by outscoring the Voyageurs 24-13 and capped the game off with another 21 points in the fourth as they cruised to the win 31 point win.
Alvin Icyogere had a monster game to lead the Lakers, posting 39 points, while
Alex Blackmore had 19,
Darnaz Mabanza scored 17 and
Marcus Moore had 11 in the win.
Nipissing will be back in action in January as the OUA season resumes.
