Box Score Coming off a big win Friday night on the road, the Nipissing Lakers women's hockey team was looking to make it a perfect weekend.

Facing the York Lions in the second half of a home-and-home, the Lakers were on the verge of clinching the East Division title.

While they gained a point, the Lakers came up short, losing 1-0 in overtime to the Lions.

After three scoreless periods, the lone goal of the game came in the extra frame, as the Lions came away with the victory.

Chantelle Sandquist finished with 16 saves in the contest.

Nipissing will be back in action next weekend when they hit the road to face the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks and Queen's Gaels.
