The Nipissing Lakers women's hockey team continues to be one of the dominant programs in the OUA, year after year.
The 2024-25 year marked another impressive campaign, as they finished first in the East Division and third overall in the OUA.
They posted a record of 16-6-4 through the regular season and once again earned national top 10 rankings, along with an OUA post-season spot.
On top of team success, a pair of Lakers were recognized for outstanding seasons.
Maggie McKee and
Madison Laberge both earned huge honours from the OUA, as McKee was named Forward of the Year and a first team all-star, while Madison
Laberge earned Defender of the Year and first team all-star.
Maggie McKee – Forward of the Year, First Team All-Star

McKee was the engine for the Lakers offence, leading the team and league in points (tie) and assists.
She started the year with a seven-game point streak, posting nine points.
The London, ON product followed that up with a nine-game point streak, scoring 14 points and added another three-game point streak, where she tallied seven points.
She had nine multi-point efforts and two three-point games.
The skilled forward had points in 20 of the team's 26 games and eclipsed the 100 games played marked, as well as the 100 point plateau in the process.
Madison Laberge – Defender of the Year, First Team All-Star

Stats: Goals: 7, Assists: 16, Points: 23, PPG: 6
Laberge was a force from the backend, posting the most points as a blueliner in the OUA season the 2012 season.
She finished fourth in the league in assists and was tied for eighth overall in points.
The Val Therese, ON native had six multi-point games, a four-point game, a three-point game and four two-point efforts.
She suited up for her 100 th game during the season and recorded her 50 th assist during the year.
Possessing a powerful shot and quarterbacking the power play, Laberge set career highs in goals, assists, power play goals and points this year, capping off her career in style.
