Quebec – Nipissing Men's Hockey dropped both contests on the road in Quebec, losing 3-2 to UQTR in Trois-Rivieres and 7-1 to Concordia in Montreal.

Saturday, January 10th, the Lakers opened their weekend slate of games in Trois-Rivieres.

The first period was a scoreless affair, but Nipissing got on the board early in the second as Dominic Leblanc scored to give the Lakers a 1-0 lead. Jeremy Duhamel picked up an assist on the opening goal. The period would stay in Nipissing's favour until 16:25, where UQTR's Conor Frenette tied the game at one. The Lakers would regain the lead with 35 seconds left in the second, as Markas Samenas scored to put the Lakers up 2-1, assisted by Alexis Beaulac

UQTR would tie the game at two 35 seconds into the final frame, as Conor Frenette beat Harmon Laser-Hume to level the game once again. UQTR took the lead at 11:20 as William Dumoulin beat Laser-Hume to put the home side up 3-2. The Lakers would fight hard until the end, but UQTR eventually collected the 3-2 win at home.

On Sunday, January 11th, the Lakers travelled to Montreal for a matchup with the Concordia Stingers to round out the trip.

Concordia opened the scoring at 6:47 of the first period, then followed with goals at 7:37 and 10:25 to take a 3-0 lead. Nipissing responded at 19:29 as Charlie Johnson buried his sixth goal of the season to cut the Stingers' lead to two. Concordia would answer 20 seconds later with their fourth goal of the first period and took a 4-1 lead to the dressing room after 20 minutes of play.

The Stingers would add to their lead at 5:24 of the second period and would lead 5-1 after 40 minutes.

In the third, Nipissing's Chad Denault would be called for a cross checking penalty at 12:59. Concordia would convert on this power play, growing the lead to five goals. Then at 18:23, Nipissing's Charlie Johnson took a boarding penalty, and again Concordia would convert on the ensuing man-advantage. 7-1 is where this game would end in the Stingers' favour.
