North Bay, ON – Nipissing Men's Hockey is proud and excited to announce that goaltender
Zach Roy has been named OUA Goaltender of the Year and an OUA First Team All-Star for the 2025-26 season.
Roy, a history major from Callander, Ontario, completed his fourth season with Men's Hockey.
Roy started 19 games this season, totalling 1148 minutes for Nipissing. He finished the 2025-26 season with a .925 save percentage (3
rd in OUA), and 2.35 goals against average (6
th in OUA).
Roy had 11 wins on the year (7
th in OUA), a .579-win percentage (8
th in OUA), and made 552 total saves (11
th in OUA).
"Zach had an outstanding year for us" said Lakers Head Coach
Mike McParland. "Leading the OUA East in save percentage and even adding four assists is impressive. Zach stepped up for us in big moments and is absolutely deserving of the recognition he is getting from the league. Zach will be back between the pipes next season, and we're excited to see him get even better."
