North Bay, Ontario – Nipissing Lakers Men's Hockey is proud to announce the signing of recruit Rylan Williams.

Williams, a native of Kyle, Saskatchewan, plays left wing. Rylan spent the 2025-26 season with the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, scoring 68 points in 54 games with the club.

Rylan describes his playing style as fast-paced and gritty. Williams is a 200-foot north-south forward who possesses a high hockey IQ.

"I want to make an impact right asway and be a force from day one" Rylan said when asked about expectations for himself and the team's performance. "I want to win, and I will do anything to help us get the job done night-in and night-out."

Rylan will be enrolling in Nipissing's Business Administration program this fall.

"Nipissing was the right fit for me," Williams said when asked why the Lakers made sense for his hockey career and education future. "The team has great coaching and a team mindset of competing and battling hard on every shift. I believe my style of play fits the team perfectly. I can't wait to get to work."

Welcome to Nipissing, Rylan!
