WOMEN'S SOCCER: Four Lakers named 2025 OUA All-Stars
Brooks, Nolte, Tierney, and McMurren recognized for standout seasons
North Bay, ON – Four members of the Nipissing University Women's Soccer team have been named Ontario University Athletics (OUA) All-Stars for the 2025 season, recognizing their exceptional performances on the pitch.
Cassidy Brooks, a fifth-year striker, was named a First Team All-Star. Brooks appeared in 12 games for the Lakers, starting in 11. Brooks tallied 10 points this season, including six goals and four assists, good for second on the team in total points. She concludes her Lakers career with an impressive 41 goals in 63 appearances and celebrates her fourth career OUA All-Star selection.
Annika Nolte, a fourth-year midfielder, was also named a First Team All-Star following a record-breaking season. Nolte was the leading scorer for the 2025 Lakers, totaling 14 goals (12 regular season and two playoff) and five assists. She was the top regular season goal scorer in the OUA and ranked second nationally, setting a new single-season scoring record for the Lakers. Nolte started in all 12 regular season games for the Lakers. This is Nolte's first career OUA all-star recognition.
Emily Tierney, a fifth-year defender, joins Brooks and Nolte on the First Team. Tierney appeared in 10 games and anchored the Lakers' defensive line with consistent, high-level play. This marks her second career OUA All-Star selection.
Alicia McMurren, a third-year midfielder, earned 2nd team all-star honours. McMurren appeared in 11 games for the Lakers, starting in 10. She scored four goals and added three assists, good for third in scoring on the team. This is McMurren's first OUA all-star recognition.
