North Bay, ON - Nipissing Lakers Women's Hockey is proud to announce that defender
Tessa Kosec has been selected as a member of the OUA's East All Stars – 2
nd Team for the 2025-26 season.
Kosec, a native of Kelowna, BC, is a fourth-year student in Nipissing's BPHE program. She has been a member of Lakers Women's Hockey since the 2022-23 season.
Kosec scored 4 goals and 10 assists in 27 games for Nipissing in 2025-26, good for first amongst Lakers defenders and fifth overall in team scoring. Kosec appeared in all 26 regular season games for Nipissing and 1 postseason game. Kosec only sat in the penalty box a mere eight minutes the entire season.
"Playing over 31 minutes per game, Tessa played in all situations and performed well above what we were hoping for. In 2025-26, she set career marks in goals, assists and points; her All-Star recognition is well deserved" said Lakers Women's Hockey Head Coach
Darren Turcotte.
"Tessa worked hard and got herself from the bottom of our roster to the top over her career at Nipissing. She is a testament that through hard work and commitment, good things happen."
