North Bay, ON – The Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association announced Friday the members of the 2025 All Baggataway Team, recognizing the best players from last weekend's 2025 Baggataway Cup.
Three members of Nipissing Men's Lacrosse received All-Baggataway selections:
All Baggataway Attack – #3 Jason Knox
All Baggataway Midfield - #16 Zach Tarr
All Baggataway Long Poles - #33 Caleb Bosomworth
Jason Knox finished the tournament with 17 points in Nipissing's three games, scoring 3 goals against Queen's and McGill, and adding 2 in the final against Guelph. Knox added 2 unassisted goals in the semifinal vs. McGill. Knox was a force for the Lakers and scored in many key moments. An absolutely well-deserved recognition for Knox.
Zach Tarr was another key contributor for the Lakers in the 2025 Baggataway Cup. Tarr finished with 15 points in three tournament games. Tarr scored 3 times and added 4 assists vs. Queen's and added 4 goals and 2 assists for the Lakers in the semifinal vs. McGill. Tarr helped lead the Lakers offensively and is a deserving recipient of this tournament award.
Caleb Bosomworth helped lead the way defensively for Nipissing in the Baggataway Cup. Bosomworth's strong, steady play and control of the ball helped limit opposing scoring chances. Bosomworth's ability to move the ball up field paid dividends for the Lakers on the transition attack. Bosomworth added 1 goal in tournament games, scoring against McGill in the semifinal. Caleb is another deserving recipient of this honour.
"Throughout our playoff run, these 3 athletes were steady and reliable. Trust by teammates and coaching staff to be leaders on the field and help guide the team during this historical playoff run" Nipissing Lacrosse Head Coach Jason Rudge added.
Nipissing is very proud of these three student athletes, and the entire Lacrosse team for their successes in the 2025 season, earning the program's first semifinal win and first Baggataway Cup appearance.
