North Bay, ON – Nipissing Men's Basketball is proud to announce that Chris-Evrard Malonga has been named to the Ontario University Athletics' All-Rookie team for the 2025-26 season.
 
Malonga, a freshman forward hailing from Montreal, QC, completed his first season with Nipissing. Chris-Evrard appearing in 20 games for the Lakers, starting in 17.
 
Malonga played 514 total minutes this season for Nipissing (25.7 minutes/game). #20 finished the season ranking 2^nd in the OUA in blocks (32), 3^rd in field goal % (58.8), 10^th in rebounds per game (7.5), and 12^th in total rebounds (149).
 
Malonga averaged 12.3 points per game this season for Nipissing, including scoring a season-high 29 points on Nov. 15 in a road game at Queen's.
 
"We are proud of Chris and his continued development as our season progressed" Lakers Men's Basketball Head Coach Thomas Cory said. "Chris had an immediate impact in his first OUA season, and we can't wait to watch him continue to get better next year and beyond."
