MEN'S HOCKEY: Lakers sign Wolf Giles for 2026

Giles scored 55 points in 44 OJHL games in 2025-26

North Bay, Ontario – Nipissing Men's Hockey is proud and excited to announce the signing of 2026 recruit Wolf Giles.
 
Giles, who hails from Toronto, Ontario, plays left wing. Wolf split last season between the OJHL's Niagara Falls Canucks, where he was named captain, and Milton Menace. Giles totaled 55 points in 44 games in 2025-26 OJHL action.
 
When asked what strengths he possesses as a player, Giles said that his size, speed, and skill help separate him from the competition.
 
"I want to continue to grow into the best player I can possibly become" Wolf said when asked what his expectations are for his first season with the Lakers in the fall. "I want to bring as much value as I can to the team and help win games in any way."
 
"I believe the team has a great shot at going very far in the playoffs with the end goal being to win the championship."
 
Wolf with be enrolling in either kinesiology or physical education as his major come this fall.
 
When asked why he chose the Lakers, Wolf said "the school and campus layout is beautiful with natural scenery. The hockey program looks amazing. I can sense a high level of true care and passion in the atmosphere at Nipissing. Coach Mike really made me feel welcomed and appreciated; this is the culture I want to be a part of."
